MENTOR PROGRAM

Encouraging creation, innovation, enablement and protection of innovations requires continuing education, enthusiasm, and support of young people into intellectual property professions.

IP LAW STUDENTS SPEED MENTORSHIP SESSIONS

The Illinois Intellectual Property Alliance will continue the CIPA participation and co-sponsorship with IPLAC (the IP Law Association of Chicago) to coordinate sessions between IP
practicing attorneys and law students who aspire to be IP attorneys. Illinois IP Alliance hopes to expand these programs across the state in cooperation with local and regional attorney groups.

ADDITIONAL MENTORING PLANS

As resources are available to Illinois IP Alliance across the state, there are goals to mentor potential creators and innovators at a variety of levels, including inventor and innovator groups to mentor high school and college students, business groups to mentor young creators and inventors, and so on. If you have ideas or would like to work in this mentoring arena, please use the membership form to indicate your interest—we are happy to have your help!
